The UV-B monitoring system from INSTRUMENT SYSTEMS uses the double monochromator version of the SPECTRO 320 D.
With both gratings and the high precision digital angle encoder all on the same turret, the SPECTRO 320 D is
capable of an unrivalled combination of speed, sensitivity, and dynamic range. For example, at a data point
interval of 0.2 nm and a bandpass of 1 nm the scan can be accomplished at the rate of 50 msec/nm! This helps
to minimize the chance that the measurement is compromised by dynamic ambient conditions such as cloud cover
when measuring solar-irradiance. With the high-resolution option, the absolute wavelength accuracy is +/- 0.03 nm.
The dynamic range available in a single scan is 7 decades and sensitivity is 10-6 W/mē nm.

The UV320 is the fastest double monochromator based spectroradiometer on the market. Meteorologists can now make
accurate measurements of small-scale temporal fluctuations in UV-B solar radiation.
