Our test laboratories - accredited quality in compliance with ISO 17025

The majority of our products is tested by our laboratories, that are accredited with the registration number D-PL-19052-01-00 as test laboratories in compliance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 by the German National Accreditation Body – DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle). This standard describes the requirements for test laboratories. It is recognized internationally and used by accreditation bodies, authorities and laboratories. The standard defines the requirements for management, as well as for the test and calibration laboratories. The specifications focus on technical details, such as selecting the test procedure, validation, metrological traceability and evaluations of measurement uncertainty.

The accreditation of our test laboratories gives you, our customer, enhanced certainty and guaranteed comparability of measurement results. In this way you can verify to third parties the accuracy of the measurements obtained with the instruments we have tested.

The reference standards we use are traceable to the standards of the national laboratories PTB (Germany) and NIST (USA). Detailed test certificates are supplied with our measuring instruments providing precise terms of reference for traceability.

The  Instrument Systems testing laboratories are permitted to apply the listed testing methods with various output versions (for accreditation with a flexible scope category III) without prior notice and consent of DAkkS.

The most important radiometric and photometric quantities are listed below for the accredited testing service provided by Instrument Systems (no contract measurement service, only sales project related):

  • Averaged LED Intensity for LEDs: ILED-B in conformity with CIE 127:2007
  • Luminous flux for LEDs in conformity with CIE 127:2007
  • Spectral irradiance from 200 to 2500 nm
  • Luminance and radiance from 360 to 1100 nm
  • Luminous flux and radiant power from 360 to 1100 nm
  • Colorimetry - CIE tristimulus values and their from calculation derivable color measurement values (ISO 11664)
