ISP 150 T/R – Integrating sphere for diffuse reflection measurements in accordance with DIN 5036
Instrument Systems integrating sphere ISP 150 is ideally suited to determination of the transmission and degree of reflection of diffusely scattering samples. The design of the ISP 150 satisfies the requirements of Standard DIN 5036 for diffuse reflection measurements with regard to the internal diameter, measurement port and angle of incidence. The coating of the ISP 150 consists of barium sulfate.
ISP 150 T/R – Product details:
- Diffuse reflection measurements in acc. with DIN 5036
- 150 mm inside diameter
- 25 mm measurement port
- 8° angle of incidence
- Barium sulfate coating with 80% degree of reflection
- Several ports for the test sample, fiber connections, halogen lamp and gloss trap
Due to its universal setup, the ISP 150 can be quickly and easily reconfigured for different measurement geometries. With the replaceable gloss trap the user specifies whether or not the directed beam portion is to be taken into account in the measurement.
In the case of measurement geometries with diffuse lighting and for transmission, the supplied halogen light source is flanged directly onto the sphere. Illumination at 8° is, however, via an external light source of the LS 100 / LS 500 series connected by optical fiber to an optical collimator. The latter ensures a slightly convergent mapping of the incident beam on the sample.
|Measurement geometry||Illumination||Measurement||Application example|
|Reflection (d/8°)||diffuse||8° with gloss||textured samples|
|Reflection (d/8°)||diffuse||8° without gloss||glossy samples|
|Reflection (8°/d)||8°||diffuse with gloss||solar cells|
|Reflection (8°/d)||8°||diffuse without gloss||solar cells|
Transmission measurement adapter – TRA 100
Transmission measurement adapter TRA 100 determines the spectral transmission properties of a wide variety of materials at normal incidence. Typical applications are the measurement of optical filters and glasses.
TRA 100 – Product details:
- Measurement of targeted transmission below 0°
- Optional integral halogen lamp or fiber connector for an external light source
- Wavelength range: 380–2200 nm or 200–2200 nm
- Sample compartment: 4 cm x 4 cm x 6 cm (H x W x D)
- Measurement spot: diameter approx. 1 cm
The TRA 100 can be operated with all Instrument Systems spectrometers. The transmitted beam is coupled into the spectrometer via a multi-mode fiber with SMA connector or via a fiber bundle. Two versions are available for the light source: a compact halogen lamp firmly mounted on the TRA 100 with 10 Watt electric power or a fiber connector for an external light source of the Instrument Systems LS 100 / LS 500 series. In the versions for an external light source, the entire spectral range from 200–2200 nm can only be exploited with the corresponding lamp (e.g. LS 500 with deuterium and halogen lamp).
incl. halogen lamp and SMA connector for spectrometer; spectral range 380–2200 nm
incl. halogen lamp and fiber bundle connector for spectrometer; spectral range 380–2200 nm
with SMA connections for spectrometer and external light source; spectral range 190–2500 nm
with fiber bundle connectors for spectrometer and external light source; spectral range 190–2500 nm
Reflectance measurement head – RMH 45
Reflectance measurement head RMH 45 from Instrument Systems is an easy-to-handle, low-cost measurement adapter for reflectance measurements. It can be used to determine targeted reflection in 45º/45º geometry and diffuse reflection or remission on sample surfaces in 45º/0º.
RMH 45 – Product details:
- 45º/0º geometry for diffuse reflection / remission
- 45º/45º geometry for targeted reflection
- Halogen lamp for a wavelength range of 380–2200 nm
- Optional optical fiber connection for an external light source
Prior to measurement a reflection standard is used to determine the base line, and subsequently the reflectance measurement head is placed on the sample. Depending on the desired measurement geometry, the optical fiber bundle for radiation coupling is connected to the spectrometer with the 0º or 45º connector of the RMH 45.
Two versions are available for illuminating the sample: a compact halogen lamp firmly mounted on the RMH 45 with 10 Watt power for measurements in the wavelength range 380–2200 nm. Alternatively, a version without a halogen lamp is also available, to which an external light source can be connected for the LS 100 / LS 500 series via optical fiber and PLG adapter. This version also permits measurements in the UV range.
