Modern displays increasingly rely on wide color gamuts and narrow-band primaries, making accurate color characterization more challenging and more observer-dependent. This presentation introduces an imaging-based measurement approach that enables 2D colorimetry with multiple color matching functions (CMFs) from a single acquisition. Implemented on the LumiTop imaging system, the method allows users to switch between standard and user-defined observers, compare results across different CMFs, and perform post-acquisition recalibration. This provides display and AR/VR manufacturers with a flexible tool to improve color accuracy, reduce observer metamerism, and ensure consistent color appearance across display technologies.
